Temporary Monument is on display at Trieste Airport as part of the URBAN Photo Days Tour 2026, a programme of exhibitions leading towards the 13th edition of Trieste Photo Days.
The exhibition brings together an international selection of photographers from the 2026 URBAN Photo Awards and takes place within the airport during one of the busiest periods of the summer travel season.
My photograph Temporary Monument, made in Florence, Italy, was one of three works recognised in this year’s URBAN Photo Awards alongside Colour Divides and Subway Stories.
Photographed outside the Basilica of Santo Spirito, the image captures a shirtless man momentarily holding a sculptural pose against the church’s monumental Renaissance facade. The title plays on the contrast between the permanence of the architecture and the fleeting performance of the body, briefly turning an ordinary passerby into a monument of his own.
The exhibition runs from 7 August to 30 September 2026, ahead of Trieste Photo Days in October.
