Spiral at Art Basel Hong Kong with Ray-Ban RED

27–29 March 2026 · Exhibition / Residency · Art Basel Hong Kong · Spiral

Spiral was exhibited during Art Basel Hong Kong as part of the Ray-Ban RED programme, following its selection as a global winner of the i-D × Ray-Ban RED award.

RED was conceived as an international platform for creative responses to the colour red, bringing together artists using the colour as visual language, symbol and cultural reference.

My photograph was presented in Hong Kong during Art Basel’s public days from 27–29 March 2026.

The presentation brought the work back into a city with an important relationship to my photographic practice, placing Spiral within the wider international art context surrounding Art Basel Hong Kong.

Spiral depicts a part of a red sofa taken whilst studying in Florence, using colour and geometry to push a familiar structure towards abstraction.
