The Veil Breathes

from £45.00
Size:

A curtain lifts against a red door, held momentarily between concealment and revelation. The image rests at a threshold, interior and exterior, presence and absence, stillness and movement. What appears fixed begins to shift.

As with much of my practice, the work explores perception as an unstable and active process. The familiar is never entirely secure. Light alters it, air moves through it, and the world quietly rearranges itself.

Part of the Intervals project, a series exploring quiet thresholds and suspended moments in contemporary life, and included in the first limited run of eight prints from the series.

Photographed in Porto, Portugal.
Exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy as part of The Thread That Pulls.
