Acts of Attention, 2026
Glasgow, Scotland

Floral Arrangement forms part of Robby Ogilvie’s ongoing series Acts of Attention, which explores overlooked objects, surfaces, fragments and temporary events within everyday environments. The project begins from the belief that attention is not passive. To look carefully is to make a choice about what is allowed to matter. In a culture shaped by visual excess, acceleration and distraction, Acts of Attention proposes slow looking as a form of quiet resistance.

At the heart of the project is a wider question: what do the things we choose to notice reveal about the environments we inhabit, and in turn, about ourselves?

Floral Arrangement draws attention to an incidental arrangement encountered within the city, where ordinary forms momentarily take on the visual language of something deliberately composed. The title plays with this shift in interpretation, asking whether an arrangement needs to be intentional in order for us to recognise it as such. Through framing, the photograph elevates a passing visual relationship into something to be considered in its own right.

Floral Arrangement was exhibited at Saatchi Gallery, London, as part of Spotlight: Digitalism in September 2026.

PRINT & PRESENTATION

Each work is produced using museum grade materials and presented to a standard suitable for long term display and collection.

The archival fine art print is permanently mounted onto aluminium Dibond, providing a rigid, stable and highly durable presentation. The 45 × 60 cm artwork is housed within a deep white wooden shadow box frame measuring 68.6 × 83.6 × 6 cm. The separation between the artwork and frame creates a sense of depth, allowing the photograph to sit as an object within the frame rather than simply behind it.

Each photograph is produced in a strictly limited edition of three, plus one Artist Proof. Every edition is individually signed and numbered by the artist and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Edition numbers are recorded as 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3, with the Artist Proof marked AP.

The finished artwork is supplied ready to hang.
