Where We Turn Selected for The Winter Book by Woofermagazine

3 March 2026 · Publication · Woofermagazine, USA · Where We Turn

Where We Turn was selected for The Winter Book, a limited edition collective photobook published by Woofermagazine.

Curated by photographer and editor Andrea Ratto, the publication brings together 100 photographs by 100 photographers from around the world, approaching winter not simply as a season but as an atmosphere, emotional condition and stage within life.

Photographed in a housing estate in Edinburgh, Scotland, Where We Turn looks across an icy residential road marked by the overlapping tracks of car tyres. Repeated turns cut through the thin layer of snow, transforming an ordinary street into a dense network of lines and gestures. The marks become traces of movement and presence, recording where people have passed even when the people themselves remain unseen.

The title refers literally to the turning vehicles that have drawn across the road, while also suggesting something less fixed: the paths we take, the choices we make and the traces those movements leave behind.

The image was initially highlighted by Woofermagazine as one of its Editor’s Picks during the open call before being selected for the final publication.

The Winter Book was launched for pre order on 3 March 2026 as a limited edition of 200 copies.
