Colour Divides on Display with National Geographic Traveller at King’s Cross

Colour Divides was exhibited in central London as part of the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Photography Competition 2026 exhibition.
The free outdoor exhibition brought together more than 80 shortlisted photographs from the annual competition, extending across Granary Square and the surrounding King’s Cross public realm.
My photograph was selected in the Urban category and shown alongside images exploring cities and everyday life from around the world.
Photographed in Cape Town’s historic Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, Colour Divides uses a chance alignment of car, architecture and saturated colour to consider how the environments we inhabit can carry histories of identity, ownership and separation.
The outdoor presentation also placed the photograph back within an urban environment, allowing the work to be encountered as part of the everyday movement of the city rather than within a conventional gallery setting.
