Horizon in Motion Published in BROAD's Freedom Issue

Horizon in Motion, from Intervals, has been published in Freedom, a print edition by Canadian photography and visual culture platform BROAD.
Curated by BROAD founder and editor Gergo Farkas, the publication invited photographers to consider freedom not as a fixed or purely political idea, but as something that might be understood personally, socially, emotionally or conceptually. The project asked what freedom looks and feels like within contemporary life, bringing together different international responses to the theme.
My contribution, Horizon in Motion, comes from Intervals: Volume One. The photograph uses layers of landscape and movement to destabilise the horizon, turning a familiar marker of orientation into something less fixed. Within the context of Freedom, this shifting structure suggests a release from visual certainty: a landscape no longer held entirely in place by a single, stable viewpoint.
The publication extends Intervals beyond the original photobook and exhibition context, allowing an individual image to take on a different reading through its relationship with the wider theme.
