Intervals Vol.01 at Den Internationale 43, Denmark

I’m pleased to be exhibiting as a guest artist in the 43rd edition of Den Internationale, an annual international photography exhibition organised by Esbjerg Fotoklub in Denmark.
For the exhibition, I will present six works from Intervals Vol.01, my photographic series exploring quiet thresholds, pauses and traces of presence within everyday environments.
The project is concerned with moments when places seem temporarily suspended from their usual function or rhythm. Through empty spaces, curtains, windows, passages, fragments of architecture and traces of human presence, the photographs consider the subtle distance between being somewhere and feeling fully connected to it. Rather than documenting places in a descriptive sense, the series looks for moments where the familiar begins to shift towards something quieter, more ambiguous and surreal.
Den Internationale has been organised by Esbjerg Fotoklub for more than four decades, bringing photographers from around the world together with members of the club. The exhibition is presented in the Mezzanine Gallery at Esbjerg Main Library, a space dedicated to photographic art.
I’m especially pleased that this exhibition marks the first time my work has been shown in Denmark, continuing a year in which my photography has travelled to exhibitions across Europe and internationally.
