Colour Divides Travels to Milan, Tokyo and Arles
June–October 2026 · Touring Exhibition · Sony World Photography Awards · Colour Divides
Following its exhibition at Somerset House in London, Colour Divides joined the international exhibition programme accompanying the 2026 Sony World Photography Awards.
The work travelled first to Museo Diocesano Carlo Maria Martini in Milan, where the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition runs from 10 June to 4 October 2026.
It was also shown at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum (TOP Museum) in Tokyo and in Arles, France, during Les Rencontres d’Arles, one of the world’s major international photography festivals.
Photographed spontaneously on a Google Pixel 6 in Cape Town’s Bo-Kaap neighbourhood, Colour Divides began with a fleeting alignment of colour, architecture and an ordinary parked car.
Seeing the same photograph move between institutions and photographic contexts in London, Milan, Tokyo and Arles has given the work a life far beyond the moment in which it was originally made.
